About

Art, Food, & Soul is a creatively blended experience; curating events that transcend borders.

AFS commitment to building community is achieved through collaboration with local businesses, artists, and community organizations. AFS has partnered with art galleries, museums, and community centers around NYC, and traveled overseas to locations such as Jamaica, W.I. In the near future, we are looking forward to expanding to more areas throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

AFS believes in the transformative power of the arts to create societal change. We are committed to creating safe spaces for connection that help to revive, preserve and enhance underrepresented cultures. Established in the Spring of 2011, we promote arts in communities through multi-art platforms that include artist showcases, film screenings, panel discussions and charitable projects.

Join us at our next event and experience for yourself "Where All Things Art Feed The Soul."

Art of all disciplines that raise consciousness, inspires, gets us to relate, motivates and uplifts

Food as a culinary art is communal, can remove barriers, help us learn new cultures and is always celebratory

Soul baring dialogue and exchange of perspectives on how the art has impacted us, entertained us or moved us

The creative mind behind Art, Food, & Soul

Samantha Alethea Inniss has created her own lane as a "Social Art-ivist" by uniquely blending her background serving as a Social Worker, Creative Artist and Community Arts and Culture Advocate.  She was born to Caribbean immigrants in the diverse neighborhood of Jamaica, Queens, NYC.  Her love of the arts and providing service inspired her to create a multidimensional platform that creatively fuses arts, knowledge and community into one entertaining experience.  Since 2014, she has served on many boards, committees and has been awarded by New York State Senator Leroy Comrie and the Southeast Queens Chamber of Commerce as "Extraordinary Woman of Southeast Queens" in 2015 for all her efforts.  She is an exemplary leader with a dedication to making a positive social impact and applying innovative ideas to create change.
